Pune, October 4, 2018: An exclusive meeting was held up at the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune, regarding the proposed installation of Roller Break Tester at Alandi Road Test station. The meeting was conducted by MP Anil Shirole, who has provided an amount of Rs. 50 lacs for this Roller Break Tester through his MPLAD fund. During the meeting, Shirole gave instructions to expedite the completion of the work.

This system will be of great help for the vehicle owners as now the fitness of the vehicles can be checked at Alandi Road and it will not be necessary to go all the way to Dive Ghat for the same reason. This will save a travel distance of 30 Km, and subsequently fuel and time too. Officials of RTO, the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and Public Works Department (PWD) were present for the meeting.

Speaking about the system, Shirole said, ‘‘Many small vehicle owners and Rikshaw drivers had talked to me about the need for a Roller Break Tester at Alandi Road center. After understanding the issue thoroughly, I decided to set aside Rs. 50 lacs for this system from my MP fund. Now the money is sanctioned and the work can be done speedily. I have communicated the same with the officials and I’m sure that this center will be very much helpful for the people. ’’
