Meet Chirag Falor From Pune Who Secured All India Rank 1 In JEE Advanced 2020

Pune, October 5, 2020: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 results were declared today by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Pune boy Chirag Falor made headlines as he secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 1 in one of the toughest entrance exams in the world. He scored a staggering 352 out of 396 in the exam amongst 1.6 lakh students all over India.
He is not a newcomer to success as last month he secured hundred percentile in the JEE Mains 2020 examination and secured an AIR of 12.
He is also a recipient of the Bal Puraskar which he received from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. He represented India in the International Olympiad Award on Astronomy and Astrophysics.
Congratulating him on his success, Punekarnews.in got a splendid chance to talk with the prodigy.
He said that he had spent four years preparing for the JEE Advanced entrance exam. “I used to study for approximately 6-12 hours a day. In 9th and 10th I studied in the Akash Institute in Pune and then I went to Delhi”, Falor told Punekarnews.in
He studied in Pragati Public School in Dwarka and moved away from his parents in Pune because he wanted to focus on his studies. He said that he had completed the syllabus of JEE Advanced by 11th standard.
He told us that he wants to pursue a Bachelor of Science from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has the plans of holding a PhD in Astrophysics.
Only five students from India got the golden opportunity of getting into MIT this year and Chirag is one of them. He has already begun attending online classes of MIT as he couldn’t go to the USA due to the pandemic.
On asking if he wants to give a piece of advice for all the future aspirants he said, “I would like to tell the students preparing for this exam to not get bored and lose hope in the middle because it’s a tedious exam and the process of preparation takes time. One should always pursue something wholeheartedly until they achieve their goal.”
