Meerut Murder Case: Muskan’s Pregnancy Test Results Revealed

Meerut, 24th March 2025: The Meerut murder case, which has shocked the nation, took a new turn as the pregnancy test results of the main accused, Muskan Rastogi, were revealed. Muskan, who is currently lodged in Meerut District Jail for allegedly murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput, underwent a pregnancy test on Monday following speculation about her condition.

According to jail authorities, Muskan’s pregnancy test came back negative, putting to rest rumors that she might be expecting a child. The test was conducted after Muskan complained of health issues in jail, prompting doctors to carry out a thorough examination.

The case has garnered significant attention due to its gruesome nature and the alleged involvement of Muskan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, in the murder of Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer. The couple has been in judicial custody for the past four days, with both showing signs of severe drug withdrawal.

Jail officials report that Muskan has requested to be allowed to stay with Sahil in the same barrack. However, this request has been denied as male and female prisoners are kept in separate facilities. Both accused are currently undergoing yoga and pranayama sessions as part of their rehabilitation process in jail.

Investigation Developments

The post-mortem report of Saurabh Rajput revealed the brutality of the crime. According to SP (City) Ayush Vikram Singh, Saurabh was stabbed multiple times in the chest, with the knife penetrating his heart. His neck was severed, and both palms were cut off. The body was dismembered into four pieces to fit it into a drum.

Investigators have uncovered that Sahil Shukla, Muskan’s alleged lover, had been using Saurabh’s money for gambling activities. He reportedly placed bets on cricket matches through bookies and used the winnings to fund a lavish lifestyle for himself and Muskan.

Family Reactions

Saurabh Rajput’s mother, Renu Devi, has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for a thorough investigation into the incident. She has demanded the death penalty for the culprits and expressed concern for her granddaughter’s safety.

Muskan’s parents have also sought capital punishment for their daughter. Her father stated, “The verdict in this case should come fast, and I don’t want anything less than capital punishment for her… my son-in-law should get justice.”

As the investigation continues, authorities are focusing on uncovering more details about the murder plot, which was allegedly planned as early as November last year. The case has sent shockwaves across the country, with the public demanding swift justice for Saurabh Rajput.
