Maruti Suzuki Unveils Exciting Lineup for Indian Market 2024
23rd December 2023: As the new year approaches, Maruti Suzuki, along with several other car manufacturers, is gearing up to launch a variety of vehicles in the Indian market. The year 2023 has proven to be successful for the Indian auto industry, setting high expectations for an equally remarkable 2024. In this post, we will delve into detailed information about three upcoming Maruti Suzuki vehicles that are poised to make a significant impact upon their launch.
Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024:
Leading the pack in the Maruti Upcoming Cars list is the much-loved Maruti Swift in the premium hatchback segment. Set to debut with advanced technology and a host of exciting updates, the new model boasts a sportier design compared to its predecessor. Anticipated to hit the Indian market by March 2024, its starting price is projected to be around Rs 6 lakh. The vehicle will be equipped with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 82 bhp and 108 Nm of torque, available with both five-speed manual and CVT transmission. There are speculations about a hybrid version and normal petrol version, with potential inclusion of all-wheel-drive technology based on media reports.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:
Securing the second spot on the Maruti Upcoming Cars list is the Grand Vitara, set to receive an upgrade in 2024 with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. The exact launch date remains undisclosed, but the introduction of ADAS is expected to result in a price increase. Currently priced between Rs 10.70 lakh and Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Grand Vitara features the same engine as the Toyota High Rider, offering options such as a 1.5-liter petrol hybrid engine, 1.5-liter turbo strong hybrid engine, and a 1.5-liter mild hybrid engine. Noteworthy features include a 9-inch touchscreen entertainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay with wireless Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, head-up display, front ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting.
Maruti Suzuki EVX:
Taking the third spot is Maruti’s first electric SUV, the EVX, making its debut in the Indian market. Unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo, it is expected to be officially launched by the fall of 2024. The electric SUV promises an impressive range, advanced features, and robust safety technology, potentially incorporating ADAS. While spy images have surfaced, the company has not officially confirmed details. Anticipated features include a dual motor setup with a 60 kWh battery pack, providing a range of around 550 kilometers.
