15th December 2023: Earlier this year, Maruti unveiled the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the new generation Maruti Suzuki Fronx at Auto Expo 2023, with the latter gaining immense popularity in the Indian SUV market. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny stands out as an affordable and exceptional offroader within Maruti’s vehicle lineup. Dealerships for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny Zeta variant are currently offering a substantial flat discount of Rs 1.50,000. Additionally, an extra Rs 50,000 comes in the form of an exchange bonus and loyalty bonus. It’s important to note that this limited-time offer is exclusively applicable to Zeta variants with manual and automatic transmissions, valid only for this month.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in two variants – the entry-level Zeta and the top-tier Alpha. Priced between Rs 12.174 lakh and Rs 15.025 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the Jimny offers a range of color options, including dual-tone choices like Bluish Black Roof with Kinetic Yellow and Bluish Black Roof with Sizzling Red, as well as monotone options like Sizzling Red, Granite Grey, Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, and Pearl Arctic White. With a boot space of 208 liters and a ground clearance of 210 mm, the Jimny blends utility and versatility.

Among its standout features are a digital instrument cluster paired with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless Android Auto, cruise control, automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver seat, premium music system, and leather seats. Propelled by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine generating 105 bhp and 134 Nm of torque, the Jimny offers both a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic gearbox. Its 4wd low and 4wd high settings enhance its off-roading capabilities, and its lighter build compared to the Mahindra Thar allows for easy navigation on challenging and narrow roads.

Safety features of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny include six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill haul assist, hill descent control, traction control, reverse parking sensor with a camera, and ABS with EBD. In the Indian market, it primarily competes with the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha, both of which are soon to introduce their 5-door versions.
