Many Areas In Pune Ban Entry Of Political Leaders In Support Of Maratha Reservation

Pune, 30th October 2023: Several Maratha organizations, including the Sakal Maratha Samaj and Maratha Kranti Morcha in Aundh, Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sutarwadi, Someshwarwadi, Sus, Mahalunge, Bopodi, and Shivajinagar, have announced a protest scheduled to take place at Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk starting from Tuesday. As a result, a ban on political leaders has been enforced in this area.

Activist Manoj Jarange Patil has resumed his hunger strike in Jalna District, advocating for the demands of the Maratha community. In a show of support for these demands, a protest will be organized by the Sakal Maratha Samaj and Maratha Kranti Morcha. Citizens belonging to the Maratha community in various villages are being urged to participate in this movement, showing solidarity by gathering around the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in their respective villages.

Village bans on political leaders have been declared in these areas on behalf of the Maratha community.
