Man threatens Poona College principal for admission

Pune – The Lashkar police station has booked a man for allegedly threatening the principal of Poona College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Camp, for giving admission to all students referred. The accused who was armed with iron rod smashed the table glass in the principal’s cabin.

Dr Aftab Anwar Shaikh (55), the principal, has lodged the FIR against Farooq Shaikh, the man had identified himself with this name. The incident took place around 2 pm on Friday. “There were three persons in my cabin and we were having some discussion when the accused barged into my cabin. He threatened me of dire consequences and took out the iron rod and hit on the table glass. He asked me to give admission to students in class 11, whom he will refer. As we tried to move out, he blocked my way and again repeated his demands. I recalled that he had come to office around 15 days back also for admission related issue”, the FIR states.

Police have registered the case for offences under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
