Man From Pune Arrested For Molesting Woman Passenger In Flight
Pune 11th Oct 2023: In a shocking incident reported on Pune-Nagpur flight, a person was arrested after a woman travelling in the flight complained of molestation by him. The accused was taken into custody by Nagpur Police on his arrival at the Nagpur Airport.
According to officials, the incident took place on Monday when the 40-year-old woman was travelling in a flight between Pune and Nagpur. As the flight was about to land at the Nagpur Airport, the accused identified as Firoz Sheikh Noor Mohammad (32), a resident of Kondhwa, Pune made obscene gestures while looking at the victim and then molested her. The woman complained the matter to the airline staff and later a complaint was lodged.
The accused was taken into custody by the police and a case under sections 354, 354 (a) and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Sonegaon Police Station in Nagpur. According to police, the accused was travelling to an industrial plant for work near Nagpur. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
