Mahindra Thar Roxx To Debut With Dual-Tone Interior Details Revealed
Pune, 31st July 2024: Mahindra is set to debut its new five-door SUV, the Thar Roxx, on 15th August 2024 in India. Before its launch, information about the SUV’s interior has surfaced on social media. Reports indicate that the Thar Roxx will feature a dual-tone interior, advanced features, and multiple engine options. The expected price at launch has also been revealed.
The Thar Roxx will debut in India with a dual-tone interior featuring white and black colors. The dashboard and doors will use black, while the seats and roof will feature white. Chrome accents will give the SUV a premium feel. According to reports, the SUV will include a new steering wheel, a large touchscreen infotainment system, bezel-less interior rearview mirror (IRVM), six airbags, automatic climate control, and single and double-pane sunroofs.
Previously, Mahindra released a teaser image and video showcasing the Thar Roxx’s exterior and panoramic sunroof. The video revealed circular LED headlights with C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), new design alloy wheels, black wheel arch cladding, and a repositioned rear door handle. The Thar Roxx badging can be seen on the right side of the front fender. The teaser image clearly shows the panoramic sunroof.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx will offer three engine options: a 2.2-liter diesel engine, a 2.0-liter petrol engine, and possibly a 1.5-liter diesel engine. It will come with six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic transmissions.
The five-door version of Mahindra Thar Roxx will compete directly with the Maruti Jimny five-door and Force Gurkha five-door. The starting ex-showroom price is expected to be around 13 lakh rupees, with the top variant potentially priced at 21 lakh rupees. Currently, the three-door version of the Thar is offered at ex-showroom prices ranging from 11.35 lakh rupees to 17.60 lakh rupees.
