Pune, 10th August 2024: Mahindra has revealed a new teaser image of the Thar Roxx, highlighting major changes in its front-end design compared to the older Thar model. Set for launch on 15th August, the Thar Roxx will be available in a 5-door version, featuring significant updates both inside and out. This upcoming SUV is expected to cater to the evolving preferences of Indian consumers, combining rugged looks with modern features.

The latest teaser shows a completely redesigned front fascia, including a new six-slot grille and a more rounded set of LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, using a projector setup. This addresses a common complaint about the previous Thar’s headlamps being inadequate. The SUV also sports new diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the rear door handles have been repositioned to the C-pillar, enhancing the vehicle’s sleek profile. At the back, the tail lamps have received an upgraded design.

In terms of features, the Mahindra Thar Roxx comes equipped with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the one introduced in the new XUV 3XO. This system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, adding to the convenience of tech-savvy users. Other key features include automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a new digital instrument cluster, and a front parking camera, making it a well-rounded choice for SUV enthusiasts.

Under the hood, the Thar Roxx is expected to offer engine options similar to those found in the XUV700 and Scorpio N, with a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine and a 2.0-liter Stallion turbo-petrol engine. These engines are likely to be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The price is anticipated to range between ₹16 lakh and ₹20 lakh, positioning the Thar Roxx as a competitive offering in the SUV market.
