India, 24th February 2024: Mahindra has unveiled its latest addition to the Scorpio-N lineup with the launch of the new Scorpio-N Z8 Select variant, aiming to broaden its appeal to a wider audience. Priced competitively between ₹16.99 lakh and ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Z8 Select variant offers a compelling blend of features at a more budget-friendly range.

Available in both petrol and diesel options, customers can choose between manual and automatic transmissions. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivers 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, while the 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 173 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Buyers have the flexibility to opt for a 6-speed manual or a torque converter.

One of the standout aspects of the Z8 Select variant is its attractive pricing, being approximately ₹1.65 lakh cheaper than its petrol-MT counterpart and about ₹1.11 lakh more affordable than the diesel variant. This strategic move by Mahindra is aimed at attracting a broader customer base by providing a cost-effective option without compromising on essential features.

Enhancements in the Z8 Select variant include double barrel LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED projector fog lamps, and LED sequential turn indicators integrated into the ORVMs. The SUV also boasts diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels and is offered in the stylish Midnight Black colour.

Inside the cabin, customers are treated to coffee-black leatherette upholstery and advanced features like Adrenox Connect, featuring built-in Alexa. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the 7-inch TFT instrument console offer a modern and connected driving experience. Over 60 connected car functionalities are introduced through Adrenox tech, while popular features like a sunroof and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are retained.

Prioritizing safety, Mahindra equips the Scorpio-N Z8 Select with Frequency Dependent Damping (FDD), Multi-tuned Valve Central Land (MTV-CL), four disc brakes, ABS, ESP, and six airbags.

The new Scorpio-N Z8 Select variant is scheduled to arrive at dealerships starting on March 1, with Mahindra ensuring improved delivery timelines by ramping up production for this highly anticipated model. With its competitive pricing and feature-rich offerings, the Scorpio-N Z8 Select aims to strengthen Mahindra’s position in the fiercely competitive SUV segment.
