Maharashtra COVID report: 15,765 new cases, 320 deaths today
Mumbai, Sep 01, 2020: A total of 10,978 patients were discharged and 15,765 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1695 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 320 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.08%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 8,08,306 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 5,84,537 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.08%. As of today, there are 1,98,523 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.32% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.08%. Currently, 13,79,519 people are in home quarantine and 36,020 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 42,11,752 laboratory samples, 8,08,306 have been tested positive (19.19%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,691,166 across the country. Out of this, 2,839,882 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 65,288 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 785,996 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
