Mahabaleshwar to Host Mega Tourism Festival with Modern Tent City from May 2-4

Mahabaleshwar, 3rd April 2025: In a bid to boost tourism, Maharashtra’s popular hill station Mahabaleshwar is set to host a grand tourism festival from May 2 to May 4, featuring a modern tent city with over 100 tents to accommodate tourists and dignitaries. Inspired by the Rann Utsav of Gujarat, this initiative aims to offer visitors a unique and immersive experience.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis officially launched the festival’s logo on Tuesday, marking the beginning of preparations for what officials describe as Maharashtra’s first large-scale tourism festival.
The Mahabaleshwar Paryatan Mahotsav 2025 will offer a blend of adventure, culture, and entertainment. The tent city will provide a comfortable yet nature-friendly stay for visitors, allowing them to experience the charm of the hill station in a new way.
Highlighting the scale of the event, an official stated, “This festival will be a milestone for Maharashtra’s tourism sector. The concept of a tent city will create a unique experience for travelers and promote Mahabaleshwar as a must-visit destination.”
Among the key highlights of the festival will be a spectacular laser show using drones at the iconic Venna Lake. This visual extravaganza is expected to be a major crowd-puller, enhancing the scenic beauty of the location with cutting-edge technology.
Apart from the laser show, the festival will feature various cultural programs, adventure activities, and local attractions aimed at showcasing Mahabaleshwar’s natural and historical charm.
