Latest COVID-19 Report: State’s Recovery Rate at 98.13%, 711 New Cases and 4 Deaths Today

Mumbai, 4th April 2023: In the latest COVID-19 update, it has been reported that 447 patients have been discharged in the state today. This brings the total number of COVID-19 patients who have fully recovered in the state to 79,94,060, with a recovery rate of 98.13%.

However, there have also been 711 new cases reported in the state today, and unfortunately, 4 COVID-19 deaths have also been reported. The case fatality rate in the state is 1.82%.

Since the international scenario of COVID-19 remains a concern, screening of international passengers arriving at Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur airports began on 24th December 2022. All passengers are being thermally scanned, and a random 2% sample is being taken for COVID-19 testing. Any positive samples are then referred for WGS.

It is important to note that out of 8,66,55,385 laboratory samples, 81,46,301 have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state until today, which is 9.40% of the total number of samples.
