La Classe 7thAnnual Runway Historic Fashion Show – 2017 organized By Suryadatta Fashion Design Institute
Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology organized the La Classe 7th Annual Runway Fashion Show on 23rd of December 2017, amidst much excitement and fanfare, at Suryadatta Group of Institutes, Bavdhan Campus, Pune. The Chief guest Ravi Choudhari and Dr. Prof. Sanjay Chordiya, Chairman of Suryadatta Group of Institute guided the students on how to create more opportunities for the future. The show director Sandeep Dharma also appreciated the hard work, enthusiasm and creativity, put up by the students. The show was attended by Fashion Industry experts, designers, show sponsors, parents etc.
The tagline of the fashion show, New Style Innovation, speaks about three central themes of the show, namely- Architecture, Bio-mimic and Synthesis.
In architecture, four groups showcased different aspects of architecture, constructions and lines used in architecture by using various buildings and constructions such as Moscow church, Saint Petersburg Mosque, Moon tower and Hawa Mahal.
In Bio-mimic, three groups were mimicking the nature through their designs. These groups worked on various concepts such as galaxy, the big bang and creepers with unique flowers.
Synthesis means the combination of two opposite components or elements to form a connected whole. Here students developed outfits using two opposite elements such as fire-ice, nature-machinery and soft-hard.
The creativity and innovation overwhelmed the entire audience at the event. The outstanding use of fabric development, embroideries, digital printing, and non-textiles were the eye catchers of the evening.
The 1st prize for Best Collection was awarded to the theme Architecture – Saint Petersburg Mosque, and various best designers and runner ups. The jury panel consisted of Nidhi Bhandari, Bharti Beri & Sanjay Bhandari, who had a tough time selecting the best designs of the evening and they all acknowledged the creativity displayed by the students and encouraged them to further develop their skills to create such extraordinary designs. The show ended with cheers and accolades for the designers.
During the inaugural function Mrs. Sushma Sanjay Chordiya, Vice President Suryadatta Education said “Our fashion design students are from different parts of India and at Suryadatta we give opportunity to our students to showcase their talent &hidden potential to developself-confidence and entrepreneurship skills and hardworking ability in them by organizing such unique creative and innovative events& also by giving round the year value addition through various activities.
All the students expressed their gratitude towards their staff, teachers & management for giving such wonderful opportunity, of doing extensive research, idea generations, designing & making unique costumes, team work, costing, time management, purchase, materials management, logistics celebrity & event management, beauty and make up, fund raising, hospitality management and enhancing hard working capacity developing self-confidence and overall business skills sets required for becoming successful person in life, through such events.
