Koregaon Bhima riots – state govt orders judicial probe , Rs 10 lakhs compensation for deceased’s family
Pune – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday announced that judicial inquiry has been ordered into the Koregaon Bhima, about 25 km from Pune, riot incident. The CID will investigate the death of the youth and that his family will be given Rs 10 lakhs compensation, he added.
Fadnavis appealed citizens to maintain peace and asked not to believe rumours being spread through social media.
In Pune, anti-social elements forced shopkeepers in several areas to close their shops. They also damaged one PMPML and one ST bus at Fursungi near Hadapsar.
