Kharadi Bypass Chowk: Pune Traffic Police To Introduce Experimental Route Changes from 24th April

Kharadi, 22nd April 2025: To improve traffic congestion and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles, the Traffic Branch of the Pune City Police Commissionerate has implemented changes in the Kharadi area, affecting the Pune – Nagar Road. These changes fall under the Chandan Nagar and Kharadi Traffic Divisions and will be enforced on an experimental basis starting April 24. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Amol Zende, announced the changes.

The details are as follows:

1. The Nagar Road-side lane at Kharadi Bypass Chowk will continue to operate as a no-signal lane.
2. Vehicles heading from Kharadi Bypass towards Mundhwa and Hadapsar must use two lanes in the Chandan Nagar area, and then take a right turn at the signal towards Mundhwa and Hadapsar. Vehicles going towards Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) should avoid using the divider lanes.
3. Vehicles coming from Mundhwa and Hadapsar to Ahilyanagar should take a right turn at the signal into both divider lanes, and then proceed to their destination.

Vehicles from Kharadi Dargah Junction should take a left into the Ahilyanagar lane.
