Kartik Festival: Curfew In Alandi From Today

Pune, December 6, 2020: To avoid the rush during the Kartik festival, district collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh has directed to impose a curfew from Sunday to December 15. Similarly, the roads going towards the temple town will also be closed for the general public.

Every year the Samadhi Sohala of Saint Dnyaneshwar is celebrated during Hindu month of Kartik. This festival this year will be celebrated from December 8 to December 14. Thus, to avoid the crowd, the decision was taken by the district collector said, assistant commissioner Manchak Ippar.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Police commissioner office had requested the curfew on the lines of curfew at Pandharpur and the collector responded to the request.
