Kareena Kapoor Stars As Detective In Upcoming Film The Buckingham Murders
Mumbai, 20th August 2024: The teaser for the highly anticipated crime thriller The Buckingham Murders featuring Kareena Kapoor has been unveiled, with the film set to release in theaters on September 13. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film showcases Kapoor in her first role as a detective, alongside co-stars Aash Tandon, Ranveer Barar, and Keith Allen. The narrative centers around Kapoor’s character, Detective Sergeant Jasmeet Bhammra, who faces emotional turmoil after the loss of her child and chooses to become a detective to cope with her grief.
The film is expected to fill the void left by Sara Ali Khan’s Metro… In Dino, which recently postponed its release date. Aditya Roy Kapur will also appear in a supporting role. The Buckingham Murders has garnered significant attention since its premiere at the Jio MAMI Festival last year and is now ready for a broader audience.
The film’s plot, crafted by writers Aseem Arora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakkar, promises to be a gripping murder mystery that captures both the essence of crime drama and the emotional challenges faced by the protagonist.
