Pune, 3rd July 2024: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has clarified that the constable who allegedly slapped actress Kangana Ranaut is still suspended and has not been transferred. Reports suggested that Constable Kulwinder Kaur, involved in the incident at Chandigarh Airport, had been reinstated and transferred to Bengaluru. However, CISF has dismissed these claims, stating that she remains suspended and under investigation.

The incident occurred on June 6 when Kangana Ranaut was allegedly slapped by CISF Constable Kulwinder Kaur at Chandigarh Airport while she was departing for Delhi. According to sources, Kulwinder Kaur was reportedly upset over Kangana’s comments regarding the farmers’ protest, which led to the altercation. The CISF emphasized that a departmental inquiry is ongoing against Kaur, and no decision on her reinstatement or transfer has been made.

Reports of Kaur’s transfer surfaced recently, suggesting that she had been moved from Chandigarh to Bengaluru. These rumors have been firmly denied by CISF officials, who reiterated that she remains under suspension. “The constable involved in the incident with Kangana Ranaut is still suspended, and the investigation is still in progress,” the CISF stated.

The altercation at the airport has garnered significant media attention, with various accounts of the event emerging. However, CISF’s latest statement aims to clear up any misunderstandings regarding the status of Constable Kaur.

This incident highlights ongoing tensions related to the farmers’ protest, which has been a contentious issue in India. Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken views, has been a vocal critic of the protest, which has led to significant backlash from various quarters.

CISF has confirmed that the constable accused of slapping Kangana Ranaut remains suspended, and the investigation into the incident continues. Any reports of her reinstatement and transfer are unfounded, according to official statements.
