Kalki 2898AD Becomes Biggest Indian Film of 2024, Surpasses Fighter

Pune, 6th July 2024: Kalki 2898AD has emerged as the biggest Indian film of 2024, crossing the 700-crore mark worldwide in just seven days. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, this film has set new records at the box office. Released on June 27, it has consistently garnered impressive earnings, breaking previous records set by other films this year.

Kalki 2898AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has become the second biggest film in Prabhas’s career after Baahubali 2. Featuring stars like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan, who plays Ashwatthama, the film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. On its opening day, Kalki collected 98 crores across all languages and 191.50 crores worldwide. By the third day, it grossed 75.77 crores, and over the first weekend, it accumulated 90.65 crores. This brought the total collection to 324.15 crores domestically and 555 crores worldwide by the end of the first week.

In its first week in India, Kalki’s Hindi version collected 162.8 crores, surpassing Fighter’s first-week business of 146.5 crores. Fighter had previously been one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2024 with a global collection of 358.89 crores, but Kalki 2898AD surpassed this figure by earning over 700 crores in just six days.

The film has set new benchmarks in the industry, breaking records both globally and domestically. With its impressive earnings, Kalki 2898AD has joined the ranks of top-grossing films worldwide.
