Pune, 22nd March 2024: In a recent development, Pune witnessed Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sharadchandra Pawar Party leader and Legislative Council MLA Eknath Khadse, accompanied by his wife Mandakini Khadse and son-in-law Girish Chaudhary, receiving judicial relief regarding a case involving alleged misappropriation of land in MIDC, Bhosari. Additional Sessions Judge PP Jadhav granted bail to all three individuals on Thursday (21st).

The case revolves around the purchase of a plot in MIDC, Bhosari, in 2016 by Khadse’s wife, Mandakini Khadse, and son-in-law, Girish Chaudhary, during Khadse’s tenure as Revenue Minister. Allegations surfaced suggesting that the plot was acquired at a considerably lower price than its market value, prompting social activist Hemant Gawande to file a case against Khadse, his wife, and son-in-law at Bund Garden Police Station.

Following a police investigation, a charge sheet was filed against the accused on October 11, 2023. Despite opposition from Special Public Prosecutor Ajay Misar, the trio sought bail in the case, which was granted by the court.
