ISHRAE conducts Jal~Vayu~Agni 2017 – Seminar on Impact of National Building Code on Critical Services

Bangalore, 28th July 2017: The country’s leading body of HVAC&R (Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration) professionals – ISHRAE (The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) – organized aseminar – Jal-Vayu-Agni 2017, which addressed theimpact of national building code on critical services, at NIMHANS convention centre, Bangalore. This consortium explored the impact of elements of nature such as Jal (water apropos to plumbing), Vayu (air apropos to cooling) and Agni (fire apropos to fire & safety) on the futuristic modern design of buildings.

 

The essence of the seminar was to understand and generate awareness in the industry about the impact of new national building codes for designing, construction and maintenance of these modern buildings. The guideline regulates building construction activities across the country and addresses the latest amendments made to the existing law which is at par with applicable international practices. The seminar marked the presence of renowned thought leaders from the industry such as Mr. Pankaj Dharkar, ISHRAE Presidential Member & National President – FSAI, Mr. D Nirmal Ram, ISHRAE Presidential Member, Mr. BSA Narayan –Vice President, Indian Plumbing Association, among others.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. D Nirmal Ram, ISHRAE Presidential Member said – “It is our continuous endeavor to create meaningful spaces in the society. Jal-Vayu-Agni 2017 is one of our key initiatives towards that venture. The revised guidelines focused on understanding and addressing the challenges posed by natural calamities. As a society we are committed to providing safe and secured living spaces for the society at large.

 

Expressing his views on the occasion, Mr. Pankaj Dharkar, ISHRAE Presidential Member & National President – FSAI added“Jal-Vayu-Agni 2017 was an initiative to celebrate the futuristic trends in synchronization with the fundamental elements of nature. The seminar, discussed at length, the various aspects of technology which will add value to the industry. The goal of the seminar was to cohesively enhance and empower the sector leading to rapid augmentation.”

 

The seminar saw crucial chapters, ranging from plumbing to electrical services with respect to the new national building code, being addressed by stalwarts of the industry. The seminar culminated in a panel discussion related to “The Challenges of Implementing National Building Codes”.
