IPS Nikhil Pingale Appointed as New Deputy Commissioner of Police for Pune City Crime Branch
Pune, 12th August 2024: Pune City’s Commissioner of Police, Amitesh Kumar, has implemented internal transfers within the Deputy Commissioner of Police positions. Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer Nikhil Pingale has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Crime Branch. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende from the Crime Branch has been transferred to the Traffic Branch.
Nikhil Pingale, a 2014 batch IPS officer, was previously the Superintendent of Police in Gadchiroli. Recently transferred to Pune District, he is now in charge of the Crime Branch at the Pune City Police Commissionerate.
