IPL 2023: Rajasthan Beats Chennai By 32 Runs; Topped Points Table With Ten Points

Jaipur, 27th April 2023: Ruturaj Gaikwad (47) and Shivam Dube (52 off 33 balls) batted for Chennai while chasing the 203 runs set by Rajasthan. But CSK could only reach 170 runs in 20 overs. Rajasthan won the match by 32 runs in the 37th match of the season at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, and topped the points table with 10 points.

While chasing the 203 runs set by Rajasthan, Chennai Super Kings could not get off to an aggressive start. After a slow start, Ruturaj Gaikwad tried to bat aggressively while saving the innings. But he did not get good support from the other side. Conway scored eight runs off 16 balls. Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed after scoring 15 runs off 13 balls.

After this, Shivam Dube increased the tension of Rajasthan by hitting sixes and fours. He was well supported by Moeen Ali (23) and Ravindra Jadeja (23). But Dube’s efforts fell short in front of Rajasthan’s mountain of runs and spin strategy. In the end, Rajasthan managed to limit Chennai to 170 for six wickets in 20 overs.

Rajasthan Royals posted a mountain of 202 runs against the points table toppers Chennai Super Kings. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant knock of 77 runs off 43 balls. Interestingly, no one was able to cross the 200-run mark at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, but today, Rajasthan crossed it in Sanju Samson’s 200th match. After the success, Dhruv Jurel made a big contribution to Rajasthan’s 202 by scoring 35 runs off 15 balls. Tushar Deshpande took two wickets from Chennai.
