“Speaking about Maharashtra’s achievements today is delightful”, said the dynamic youth icon Manasi Kirloskar, Executive Director, Kirloskar Systems, who was the Keynote Speaker at The Economic Times – Game Changers of Maharashtra Coffee Table Book launch event, held on March 24 in Mumbai. She was addressing an august gathering, including the likes of Dr. Pavan Agarwal, Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Shaina NC, Shabana Azmi, to name some.

“What I believe to be most important, however, is Education and Strong Values. Maharashtra has a strong educational ecosystem, home to 12% of India’s Universities, 17% of the Medical Colleges, 13% of the Engineering Colleges, 19% of Management Institutions and also produces 169,000 technocrats every year. Instilling the right values in each and every individual will elevate Maharashtra’s progress to a next level by ensuring its quality. We live in a very dynamic world. Many of us are concerned about either climbing the corporate ladder or rapid market growth. But do we really focus on methods we employ to grow? Are we truly concerned about our environment and growth of those around us? Do we pay equal amounts of attention to growing in an ethical manner (which also ensures long term sustainability and success)? Such values should be introduced at a grade school and College/University level, in order to produce competent and value driven individuals. As Maharashtra is India’s second highest populated state, a value driven populace is of utmost importance for its keen progress”, summed up Manasi, who elegantly carries her 150 year old legacy with commitment.
