Infrastructure Development in Purandar for Proposed Pune International Airport

Saswad, 11th March 2023: Six road works have been approved in Purandar, Haveli taluka of Pune district with a budget of Rs 12 crore. In addition, two important roads will be surveyed for the upcoming Pune International Airport in Purandar.

The roads leading to Pune, Satara and Solapur will be widened and strengthened in view of the planned Purandar International Airport. The road leading to Saswad, Malshiras, Yawat to Solapur road will be widened with Rs 68 lakhs sanctioned for its survey and project report. The road connecting Pune from Khadi Machine Chowk to Saswad-Veer in Haveli taluka will also be widened with Rs 54 lakh rupees allotted for its survey and project report.

The widening and improvement of these roads will facilitate better connectivity and improve the infrastructure in the region. The focus on infrastructure development is expected to boost the economy and create more job opportunities in the region.

The protective wall and area on the full Ganga stream on Saswad- Veer road will be improved with Rs 2.5 crore. A bridge will be constructed on Kolvihere -Naigaon – Malshiras road with a budget of Rs 5 crore. Veer to Harni road and the road from Khed Shivapur Kodit road to Chambli village will be improved with a budget of Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.5 crore rupees respectively.
