Indigo Felicitates Special Passenger on Pune-Bound Flight, Citizens Appreciate

Pune 24th July 2023: Indigo airlines on Sunday shared a video of felicitating a special passenger onboard a Pune-bound flight. The video has gone viral on social media platforms and people have appreciated the gesture of the airline. The passenger who was felicitated by the airline officials was one of the three living ‘Param Veer Chakra’ awardees of India Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar.

The airlines officials introduced him to the other passengers and welcomed him onboard. The social media users appreciated the airline’s gesture after a video was shared. “That’s an amazing gesture and special compliments to the captain for articulating the act of gallantry so flawlessly well. It’s rare outside the defence environment. You have earned a loyal customer herein onwards” a user tweeted.

“We feel proud of your work Indigo. A honor to the PMC awardee Major Sanjay Kumar ji and well deserved welcome on board and good inspiration to the public” another user shared.

It may be noted that Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar is currently posted as an instructor as National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune. A recipient of India’s highest wartime gallantry award, Kumar is an officer of 13th Battalion of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles.
