IndiGo Airlines Faces Major Technical Issues, Passengers Report Long Queues and Booking Challenges
New Delhi, 5th October 2024: IndiGo Airlines is currently dealing with a major technical issue, leading to reports of long queues at airport check-in counters and challenges with booking tickets. The disruptions began around 12:30 pm on Saturday, and approximately an hour later, the airline acknowledged a “temporary system slowdown” affecting its network. The airline warned that passengers might experience increased wait times, including longer queues at airports.
In a post on X, IndiGo stated, “We are currently experiencing a temporary system slowdown across our network, affecting our website and booking system. As a result, customers may face increased wait times, including slower check-ins and longer queues at the airport.”
IndiGo added that their teams are available to assist passengers at airports, and they are working to restore normal operations as soon as possible.
“We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and patience during this time,” the airline said.
On social media, several users shared photos of long queues at airports and reported difficulties booking tickets, even on IndiGo’s website.
