India to host Under 17 FIFA World Cup in 2017

India will host the Under 17 FIFA World Cup in 2017. The Union Cabinet on March 23 has given its approval for hosting the games at six venues across the country. They are

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi
D Y Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, Goa
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi
Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata &
Indira Gandhi Stadium, Guwahati

The Sports Ministry has been authorized to constitute Organizing Committee, for conduct of the event. Necessary infrastructure upgradation will be carried for hosting the games.
