Increase RT-PCR COVID Tests, Intensify Preventive Measures: Pune District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh

Pune, December 7, 2020: Pune District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh has directed to increase the number of RT-PCR testing in the city. He emphasized preventive measures and a polio vaccination campaign on January 17, 2021, under which children should be vaccinated.

Deshmukh today reviewed corona preventive measures, pulse polio vaccination, and covid vaccination planning.

“The number of corona patients in the district is declining, however, the corona has not gone passed away yet. Therefore, everyone needs to follow the three principles of self-discipline, wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining social distancing”, Deshmukh said.

He also directed that preparations should be made keeping in view the possibility for the next phase.

District Health Officer Dr Bhagwan Pawar gave detailed information about Corona’s condition and measures.

This meeting was also attended by Pune District Civil Surgeon Dr Ashok Nandapurkar and other officers.
