New Delhi, 20th May 2023: Due to Go First’s absence and the grounded aircraft from IndiGo and SpiceJet fleets, ticket costs on popular routes during the summer vacations have risen throughout India. The impact of the aviation industry’s turmoil is primarily felt by passengers as Jet Airways’ return has been delayed and Air India is still growing.

The central government has ordered airlines to keep air travel reasonable to prevent excessive prices from ruining the festive season.

According to reports, the civil aviation ministry has instructed carriers to make sure that the top limit for airfare doesn’t exceed its lower limit.
Airlines have been instructed to prevent inflated ticket prices, notably on Go First’s itineraries, as demand rises and supply decreases.

However, the central government has delegated this responsibility to the airlines and has no plans to intervene to control airfare.
