IMD Predicts Heat-Wave In Konkan and Goa; Parts Of Maharashtra To Have Dry Weather

Pune, 24 March 2021: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a mild to severe heat wave in Konkan and Goa area while the other parts of Maharashtra State will have dry and clear weather.

It rained at few isolated places in Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra and Vidarbha. The temperature in Konkan and Goa region has increased inconsiderably while in Vidarbha and Central Maharashtra there was slight decrease in the temperature.

Mumbai (Colaba) measured 35.4 degree Celsius temperature which was 3.8 degree higher than the normal while at Santacruz the temperature recorded was 38.1 degree Celsius which was 5.3 degree Celsius higher.

IMD has predicted the temperature in the state to hover over 35 to 38 degree Celsius.

Highest maximum temperature was recorded at Ratnagiri (39.0 degree Celsius) while Mahabaleshwar recorded minimum temperature which was 15.5 degree Celsius.

Pune recorded 36.2 degree Celsius maximum temperature while 18.8 degree Celsius was minimum.
