IMD Issues Red Alert For Pune For Today, Orange Alert For Next Three Days
Pune 21st July 2023: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the Pune district for today and predicted ‘extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas’. Orange alert has been issued for July 22, 23 and 24.
According to IMD, ‘heavy to very reavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas’ is likely to be reported in Pune between July 22 and 24. Over 100 mm rainfall has been reported in Lonavala in the last 24 hours while 64.5 mm rainfall has been reported in Junnar and 45 mm rainfall has been recorded at Mulshi.
