Hyundai Unveils Upgraded Creta Facelift with Advanced Features

23rd December 2023: Hyundai Motor is set to introduce the new generation Hyundai Creta facelift in the Indian market as the new year begins. This upgraded version promises not only enhanced design features but also an array of luxurious additions, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology.

A recently surfaced spy image provides a glimpse of the new design updates, hinting at a refreshed look for the Hyundai Creta facelift. The anticipated launch date for the new generation model is January 16, 2024, although the company has not yet provided specific details. The facelift boasts a range of external enhancements, including a new connected LED tail light unit, a redesigned rear spoiler, and a stop lamp mount at the rear. The side profile will showcase a newly designed dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheel.

Expect significant size increments compared to the current model, not only in external dimensions but also within the cabin. The interior undergoes a major overhaul with a redesigned dashboard layout, central console, and steering wheel. Features such as soft-touch facilities and comfortable seats are dispersed throughout the cabin.

In terms of technology and features, the new generation Hyundai Creta promises a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity, and wireless Android Auto. Additional highlights include advanced connected car technology, wireless mobile charging, ambient lighting with multiple color options, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, air purifier, and a powerful sound system.

The Hyundai Creta Facelift 2024 prioritizes safety with Level 2 ADAS technology. This includes lane departure warning, lane return alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, hi message, blind-spot monitoring system, Harrier cross-traffic alert, and driver warning alert. Six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill-hold assist, 360-degree camera, and reverse parking sensors further contribute to its safety suite.

Under the hood, the new model is expected to offer various engine options, including a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission choices comprise a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, CVT automatic unit, iMT unit, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Anticipated to be competitively priced between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 18 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market, the Hyundai Creta Facelift 2024 will vie against formidable competitors such as the Kia Seltos facelift, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyrider, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and MG Astor.
