Hyundai Unveils Compact Electric Car ‘Inster’ with Advanced Features

Pune, 27th June 2024 – Hyundai has globally launched the Inster, a compact electric vehicle (EV) positioned in the A segment of compact SUVs. This new model was showcased at the Busan International Mobility Show 2024, highlighting Hyundai’s commitment to electric mobility. The Monster comes packed with cutting-edge features including LED lights, projection headlamps, a dual-tone exterior, 15-inch wheels, and a spacious 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster paired with an infotainment system of the same size. It also offers wireless charging, 50-50 split seats, USB charging ports, and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, catering to tech-savvy consumers.

Hyundai offers the Inster with two battery options: 42 kWh and 49 kWh, delivering a WLTP range of up to 355 kilometers on a single charge. The vehicle supports rapid charging with a 120 kW DC charger, enabling a swift charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Under the hood, a single motor variant provides power outputs ranging from 97 PS to 115 PS, coupled with a robust 147 Newton-meters of torque, ensuring a dynamic driving experience. Initial sales for the Inster are set to commence in South Korea this summer, followed by launches in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions later this year. While Hyundai has not confirmed the exact timeline for its release in India, industry expectations suggest it could hit Indian markets by next year, bolstering Hyundai’s EV lineup amidst growing global demand for sustainable automotive solutions.
