Kharadi, 14th April 2022: A man and his two accomplices have been arrested by Pune city police for allegedly abducting his wife as he suspected her character and wanted to murder her.
Based on a complaint from the 26-year-old woman, Chandan Nagar police station has arrested her husband Amol Devrao Khose (24), a native of Partur in Jalna, and his accomplices Mahadev Nivruti Khanapure (22) and Dnyaneshwar Baban Panjge, who are also from Partur.
According to senior police inspector Sunil Jadhav, the couple initially was in a live-in relationship. A few months after the marriage, Amol became suspicious of her character. As arguments became frequent between them, she started living separately. Amol hatched a conspiracy to kill her and brought his two accomplices to Kharadi.
Around 10 am on Wednesday, she was going to do household work when the accused forcefully put her in a car near Marvel Zephyr society in Kharadi. She raised an alarm and threw her phone. Someone informed the police control room about the kidnapping. The message was passed to Chandan Nagar police station.
The investigation team rushed to the spot and scanned CCTV footage of the area and a technical analysis of phone call records was done. The team learnt that the accused were in Phaltan and a team was sent there and three accused were nabbed.
The action was taken under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Rohidas Pawar, ACP Kishore Jadhav and Senior Inspector Sunil Jadhav. The team included Sachin Kute, Bunty Saswadkar, Sandeep Yelle, Ganesh Handagar and Subhash Awhad.
