“Humsaaz: Voices for Peace” Echoes Harmony in Pune’s Cultural Landscape

Aundh, 18th February 2024: Baithak and Beyond, in collaboration with ‘Rubaroo’, organized an enchanting open mic event titled ‘Humsaaz: Voices for Peace’ at Marshall’s Book Cafe, Aundh, on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

Embracing linguistic and artistic diversity, ‘Humsaaz’ transcended boundaries, inviting participants to share their narratives through poetry recitals, ghazal renditions, and silent reading sessions. The event served as a platform for storytellers to weave tales of unity, fostering understanding and goodwill among communities.

The open mic, themed around peace, diversity, and harmony, resonated with attendees from diverse backgrounds. Poets showcased their creative expressions in Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, and English, reflecting the cultural tapestry of the city.

Overflowing with enthusiasm, the event exceeded its allotted time as poets, eager to contribute to the cause, shared their heartfelt compositions. Saad Ahmed Host and Baithak and Beyond co-founder lauded the session’s success, highlighting the diverse array of voices united in their commitment to peace and love.

Youth activist Mohammad Saif, enrolled in Rubaroo’s program, spearheaded the initiative, marking it as a successful pilot event. He expressed aspirations to extend the initiative to communities, aiming to propagate peace and harmony across society.
