17th December 2023: Honda introduced the Elevate in the Indian market a while back, marking the entry of Honda Motors into the compact SUV segment. Launched in September 2023, this vehicle comes with a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh and boasts impressive designs coupled with advanced power and ADAS technology. Notably, the Honda Elevate stands out as one of the few in its segment to offer ADAS technology, achieving a sales milestone of 20,000 units within the first 100 days since its launch. In the same category, the Kia Seltos Facelift also provides ADAS technology.

In the Indian market, the Honda Elevate is available in four variants—SV, V, VX, and ZX—with prices ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Offering diversity, it comes in ten different color options. The interior of the Elevate is equipped with a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay connectivity, and wireless Android Auto. Additional features include automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver seat, wireless mobile charging, an electronic single-pane sunroof, footwell lighting, premium leather seats, and an impressive sound system. Functionality-wise, it provides a spacious 5-seater layout, 220mm ground clearance, and a generous 458 liters of boot space.

Safety features of the Elevate include six airbags, electronic stability control, assist, a camera with reverse parking sensors, and the noteworthy ADAS technology. The latter includes features like departure from line warning, lane return, adaptive cruise control, line hold, emergency braking, automatic high beam assist, and driver alert. Powering the Elevate is the same engine found in the Honda City—a 1.5-liter petrol engine generating 138 bhp and 145 Nm torque. This engine option comes with both a six-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. Honda claims fuel efficiency figures of 15.31 kmpl with manual transmission and 16.92 kmpl with CVT transmission. In the Indian market, the Elevate competes with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos Facelift, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyrider, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
