Hinjewadi: Now Indian Gaur Sighted In Maangaon
Pune, January 1, 2021: An Indian Gaur has been sighted at Maangaon near Hinjewadi today morning. This is the 3rd time in a month that the Gaur is sighted in Pune.
The Gaur was sighted at Rakshe vasti in Maangaon. Local resident Jaywant Rakshe, who went for a morning walk at 5:30 am, saw a Gaur coming from the Mula riverside. He tried to get close to the Gaur, in order to capture a picture, but the Gaur retaliated. It scared him and he ran back to his home. When other family members came out of the house, they saw the Gaur was standing next to their bullocks. Seeing them the Gaur quickly moved towards the river area.
The residents said that the Gaur went toward Marne vasti or Thakar vasti. It is also said that the Gaur might hide into sugarcane farm in nearby areas.
