Heavy Traffic on Pune-Mumbai Expressway Leads to Significant Delays for Commuters

Pune, 3rd May 2023: On Wednesday morning, heavy traffic caused significant disruptions to vehicular traffic on the Pune-Mumbai expressway, specifically near the Amrutanjan bridge. The increased traffic was attributed to thousands of people traveling to popular tourist destinations for the long weekend and subsequently returning.

State highway police officials responded to the situation by deploying additional manpower at Khandala and Lonavala to help clear the traffic and ease the situation. To alleviate congestion at the Amrutanjan bridge, the police force worked to clear lanes for vehicles.

Commuters reported significant delays in reaching their destinations due to heavy traffic jams on the expressway.
