Heavy Rains Lead To Flooding In Many Areas In Pune And Pimpri Chinchwad
Pune, 17th October 2022: It is raining heavily in many areas of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad since evening today. Waterlogging in many housing societies while roads are flooded.
As per the latest data, Shivajinagar has received 81 mm rainfall, while Warje got 29 mm, Katraj 32 mm, Warje 29 mm and MIT Loni has got 63 mm.

India Meteorological Department’s head of weather forecasting, Anupam Kashyapi, informed “Next 24 hrs also moisture incursion will be there from both Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal side. So tomorrow also same kind of activity expected in afternoon /evening hours. Then slowly from day after tomorrow, the rain activity will start reducing marginally.”
Meanwhile, 824 cusecs water will be released from Khadakwasla Dam as it has become 100% full.
