Guruvarya Awards given away for exemplary contribution in Education Field

Pune-  The Guruvarya Awards for the year 2018-19, instituted by Goel Ganga Foundation, were given away to individuals and organization who have 
taken steps to bring about radical changes in educational system.  
 

The award for School Development was conferred on Shri Sant Nilobaray Vidyalaya which bring forth a new wave of learning by implementing activity based and innovative methodology. The Award for Special Educator was given to Manjushree Patil for her commendable contribution in the field of special education. The Best Practices in School award went to Vipul Shah for his laudable contribution in encouraging innovative practises in classroom teaching while Ranjitsinh Disale was felicitated for his praiseworthy contribution in bridging the knowledge gap in rural schools. ISCKON was awarded for implementing the value education and strengthening the Indian value system amongst children.

Present on the occasion were Gaurang Prabhuji, Trustee Amit Goel, Trustee Sonu Gupta, Principal Bharti Bhagnani, host of parents teachers and students.

The celebrated spiritual leader and TedX speaker, Gaurang Prabhuji addressed the audience on the importance of character building and development in present times. He highlighted some vital statistics on the current scenario of education across the globe. He emphasised the fact that education is not only about gaining knowledge but working towards mental and physical well-being, as these both are important components of evolving as anindividual.

He expressed his concern over how modern education is geared towards only gaining excellence through marks but not working towards the ultimate goal of inner peace and happiness.
