Gulf Oil Picks 54 Mechanics to Ride Aboard Gulf Fan Bus to Cheer for CSK
Pune : Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited, a Hinduja Group Company, invited 54 Chennai Super Kings fans from the mechanic community aboard the Gulf Fan Bus, to watch their favorite team take on the Rajasthan Royals. It is a first-of-its-kind initiative by a corporate in the IPL.
These mechanics travelled all the way from Chennai on the Whistle Podu Express to watch their team play at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (MCA Stadium), Pune, the newly designated home ground. The Whistle Podu Express is a fans-only special train organised by the CSK team management to provide the fans an opportunity to support their team in Pune.
The bus, splashed in CSK and Gulf Oil colors, embodies the strong partnership between Gulf Oil and Chennai Super Kings in the latest edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The mechanic community is an unsung hero, playing a huge role in ensuring that riders & other vehicle owners have a smooth commute. This initiative honors their efforts that keeps India running on time, without breakdowns”, said Mr. Ravi Chawla, Managing Director, Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited.
Before the start of the season, Gulf Oil brand ambassador & team skipper, MS Dhoni, hopped on to the bus impromptu and urged his teammates to do so. What followed is unheard of in the history of the IPL—the entire team partied their way to the Chepauk for their debut practice session. The likes of Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir and others waved to the thousands of fans who lined up on the streets to cheer their favorite players.
“It is an unbelievable experience for all of us. Thala Dhoni himself was in the bus a few weeks back. We are united in our support for CSK and would like to thank Gulf Oil for this opportunity”, said one of the mechanics who was aboard the Fan Bus.
The Gulf Fan Bus is a vehicle of choice for the fans & the players alike; the vehicle would transport CSK’s most-ardent fans to the stadium during home matches. Through the course of the IPL, Gulf Oil will engage with all the passionate CSK fans via the Gulf Fan Bus to provide them with an unmatched experience.
