Gruesome Murder in Pimpri Chinchwad: Man Stabbed and Beaten with Cement Block

Talawade, 11th June 2024: In Pimpri Chinchwad, a man was gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants who stabbed him with a Koyta, struck him with a cement block, and threw a stone at his head. The police suspect that the murder may have been motivated by prior enmity. This incident occurred in Talawade on Monday (10th June) at 11:45 PM.

The deceased has been identified as Nilesh, also known as Mukund Ashok Bhandari, age 36, a resident of Dehu Gaon. Monesh Yankappa Bhandari, age 22, a resident of Dehu Gaon and the deceased’s brother-in-law, filed a complaint at the Dehu Road Police Station. The police have registered a case against two unknown individuals and their accomplices under IPC sections 302 (punishment for murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), along with relevant sections of the Arms Act of 1959 and the Maharashtra Police Act of 1951.

According to police reports, Nilesh travelled from Talawade towards Dehu on a two-wheeler at around 11:45 PM on Monday. On his way home, two individuals on a bike pushed Nilesh’s bike, causing him to fall. They then began beating him. Frightened, Nilesh ran in the opposite direction. The assailants chased him down and caught up with him. Nilesh was severely injured when they attacked him with a koyta, stabbing him in the head, forehead, and chest. They then killed him by striking his head with a cement block and a stone lying on the road. The Dehu Road Police are investigating the incident.
