Jalgaon, 15th March 2025: The price of gold has surged past the ₹91,000 per 10 grams mark, reaching an all-time high just as the wedding season kicks off. Traders in Jalgaon and Nashik expect further price hikes in the coming days, driven by global market trends.

Jalgaon, often referred to as Maharashtra’s ‘Gold City’, continues to attract buyers not only from within the state but also from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Gold Prices Reacting to Global Trends

A prominent jeweler from Jalgaon shared insights into the recent price movement. “On Saturday, the market rate for 10 grams of gold stood at ₹91,052, including taxes. A day earlier, it had touched ₹91,600. The fluctuation is closely linked to international trade policies and economic developments in the US,” he explained.

Despite soaring prices, demand for gold remains strong, as many still consider it a safe and valuable investment.

Competitive Market Keeps Quality High

Jalgaon’s jewelry market is renowned for its competitive pricing and craftsmanship. A local jeweler highlighted the intense competition among gold merchants. “With so many jewelers in the city, only those who offer top-notch quality can sustain their business. That’s why customers trust Jalgaon for their gold purchases,” he stated.

Wedding Season Boosts Gold Demand

As wedding preparations gain momentum, customers are actively purchasing gold jewelry despite the price hike. Jewelers expect the demand to remain strong, further influencing the market in the coming weeks.

With gold prices fluctuating based on global economic conditions, traders advise buyers to stay informed while making investment decisions.
