Friends of Minor Accused Also Had Blood Samples Swapped in Pune Porsche Incident

Pune, 31st May 2024: On 19th May, a minor, allegedly drunk, hit two IT professionals with his speeding Porsche in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar. He allegedly had two friends with him in the car. It was later revealed that his blood sample was taken to test for alcohol levels but was swapped. As a result, action is being taken against two doctors and one peon from Sassoon Hospital in Pune. A fresh revelation indicates that not only did the minor accused give a blood sample, but his friends did as well.

According to sources, the minor’s blood sample was swapped with his mother’s. Additionally, the blood samples of the two friends, who were drinking with him at Cosie and BLAK bars, were also tampered with similarly.

A senior officer of the Maharashtra State Government stated, “Along with the minor accused, two more people were at Sassoon that day. The blood samples of all three were taken. The minor accused’s blood sample was replaced by a woman’s sample, and the blood samples of the other two minors were replaced with those of two other people.”

A hospital source confirmed that the mother’s blood sample was swapped with that of the minor accused, and the father of one minor and the brother of another minor provided their blood samples to tamper with the evidence.

According to the police, the identities of the two friends have been revealed, and all three minors attend the same school. They were at a farewell party that night, which was captured on CCTV footage that has since gone viral. The minor accused is the son of a prominent builder, and the other two minors are allegedly the sons of prominent businessmen. The three minors were brought to Sassoon Hospital at 11 AM on 19th May to test their blood alcohol levels.

A case has been registered against the owners and staff of Cosie and BLAK for serving alcohol without confirming the trio’s age.
