Free Blood Sugar screening camp on World Health Day

Pune, April 4, 2018: To mark the occasion of World Health Day (April 7, 2018), Anuyash Arogya Pratishthan and JCI (Junior Chamber International) are jointly organizing the diabetes screening camps this Saturday. Along with Pune, the camps will be organized on the same day at 300 locations in all over India including 87 locations in Maharashtra.

In Pune, the Blood Sugar screening camp will be held on April 7, at ‘Morning Glory’ (Row House No. 2), at Sahyadri Farms behind Kapila Complex at Baner in between 9 am to 1 pm where Puneites can avail the facility. The screening camp is free and open for all. The camp will conduct random Blood Sugar test to check how many participants possess pre-diabetic condition.

The normal range of the random blood sugar (Glucose) level after the meal in 100 ml blood is 80-140 mg. On the contrary, If the value of sugar level is in the range of 140 to 200 mg then it is considered as pre-diabetic condition only if urine glucose is not detected in his lifetime, informed, Dr. Ravindra Nandedkar, Founder, Anuyash Arogya Pratishthan. Nandedkar who is a Pharmacist working in the field of Ayurved & Pharmacy from last 23 years expressed that special awareness will be created amongst the pre-diabetic persons who comes in front after the screening test and shall be advised to go through HbA1c (Glyco Selected Hemoglobin) diabetic test. The HBA1C test will ensure whether the person possess diabetes or not. In pre-diabetic condition if a person follows healthy lifestyle for 4-6 months the situation can be reversed, he further added.
