Football: AIYFA Sky Hawks Clinch PDFA Super Division League Title with Unbeaten Record

Pune, 26th August 2024: AIYFA Sky Hawks secured the championship in the PDFA Super Division League 2023-24 by clinching a 1-0 victory in their final league match at the Ganga Legends ground in Bavdhan on Sunday.

The decisive goal came in stoppage time, with Sadeem Miya scoring the lone goal in the 91st minute, ensuring AIYFA Sky Hawks remained undefeated throughout the league.

After 13 matches, AIYFA Sky Hawks boast an impressive record of 12 wins, 1 draw, and no losses, amassing a total of 37 points.

This victory also marked a personal milestone for 18-year-old Sadeem, who topped the league’s scoring charts with 17 goals in 13 matches.

In other matches on Sunday, KP XI dominated Sangvi FCA with a resounding 6-0 win. Alfred Negal led the charge with a hat-trick, while Edwin Falero, Santosh Rathod, and Melwin Falero each added a goal to the tally.

Following this victory, KP XI climbed to ninth place with 14 points, while Sangvi FCA remained in thirteenth position with just 4 points.

In another encounter, Game of Goal FCC secured a narrow 1-0 win over Chetak F.C, thanks to a 50th-minute strike by Shrikant Molangiri. With this win, Game of Goal FCC raised their total to 20 points from 12 matches, while Chetak F.C stayed at 13 points from 11 games.

Earlier in the week, Sangam Young Boys overcame Snigmay F.C with a 2-1 comeback victory. Ankush Kumar initially put Snigmay F.C ahead in the 30th minute, but Sangam Young Boys responded with goals from Pratik Sable in the 76th minute and Akshay Boro in the 78th minute to secure the win.

Additionally, Parshuramians S.C were held to a 1-1 draw by Chetak F.C. Parshuramians S.C took an early lead with a goal by Gaurav Swaminathan in the 5th minute, but Chetak F.C equalized in the 80th minute through Pramod Atre, resulting in a shared point.
