Finally, 23 Villages Included In Pune Municipal Corporation Making It The Largest Municipal Corporation and City in Maharashtra

Pune, December 24, 2020: The Maharashtra state government yesterday issued a notification to include 23 villages in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). As a result, Pune Municipal Corporation has become the largest municipal corporation and city in the state.

The court had ordered the inclusion of 34 villages around Pune city in the municipal corporation. Accordingly, in the first phase of 2017, an affidavit was submitted to take include 11 villages and the remaining 23 villages in the next three years. Accordingly, notification of including 23 villages was issued yesterday.

Now, if any person has any objection or suggestion in this regard, they can approach the Divisional Commissioner within a period of 30 days from the date of publication of the notification.
